What are the responsibilities and job description for the P/T Poker Dealer position at Coyote Valley Casino?
- Knowledgeable of or ability to learn poker card games or other games as necessary for department operations.
- Responsible for the protection and control of the game being dealt.
- Conducts the games in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, handling player transactions and notifying Supervisor of any irregularities.
- Advises Supervisor of any player disputes or arguments that may arise during the game.
- Informs Supervisor or other personnel of any important or relevant facts regarding specific players or disputes.
- Promotes departmental and property wide promotions.
- Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Attends all meetings and training as required.
- Maintains a professional, friendly and courteous atmosphere providing the customer with a pleasant gaming experience, and maintains positive representation of Coyote Valley while on and off the clock.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality during and after employment.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Proven knowledge, training and/or experience on the assigned game required.
- Basic knowledge of all current house procedures required.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must meet requirements to qualify for a Coyote Valley Casino Gaming License.
- Must pass an extensive background security check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to use basic mathematical skills to perform job.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsible for the accuracy and professional, proficient manner in dealing specific card games according to policies and procedures and in compliance with Gaming regulations. Works variable shifts as assigned by the Poker Table Games Supervisor. Greets and welcomes customers to the Card Games area. Controls game action and players and ensures that the games are dealt in a standardized manner. This position is a part-time (one-day-a-week) temporary position.
