What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance Observer position at Coyote Valley Casino?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Maintains surveillance of all areas and activities of Coyote Valley Casino.
- Records any irregular gaming activity.
- Through closed circuit television, provides observation of all departments and applicable job functions to assure that all company policies and procedures are met with compliance.
- Possess knowledge of policies and procedures from all departments.
- Maintain proper paperwork and log sheets as directed by policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.
- Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies, especially those regarding confidentiality.
- Operates all surveillance equipment.
- Conduct self always in a manner that reflects credit on the casino and encourages other to do the same.
- Must be neat and clean in appearance.
- Must be able to work well with Co-workers/Supervisor/Managers.
- Must maintain a good attendance record and understand the importance of punctuality when arriving for scheduled shifts. Must be flexible with their schedule and willing to work all shifts and overtime as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of one year Casino Surveillance experience.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of all games and casino rules, procedures, and administration.
- Familiar with camera equipment and methods of operation and recording.
- Knowledge of identification of methods of cheating games and other related activities.
- Must have good observation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate loud.
- Must be able to work in an intense environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties.
- The work environment is not smoke free.

- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.

JOB SUMMARY:
Surveillance Observers provide surveillance coverage for the entire Casino facility. Protects company assets and possesses knowledge of surveillance operations. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Coyote Valley Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Value Statement of the Coyote Valley Casino.
