What are the responsibilities and job description for the Subrogation & Recovery Department - Department Attorney position at Cozen O'Connor LLP?
Cozen O’Connor’s Denver office seeks a department attorney for the Subrogation & Recovery Department. The department attorney will be responsible for intaking, reviewing and handling 300+ claims per year, each involving property damage loss. The department attorney will be responsible for coordinating the investigation, including retention and management of experts, identifying potential theories of liability, and client reporting, all to achieve a thorough and efficient process of “triaging” new losses for purposes of having viable claims assigned to production attorneys, with department attorneys retaining responsibility for evaluating and ultimately closing the non-viable claims. Department attorneys also will be responsible for litigating viable subrogation claims that are handled by our subsidiary, National Subrogation Services.
The salary range for this role is $115k-120k. Discretionary bonuses may also be available. This role's benefits include paid time off, medical/dental, life insurance, short/long-term disability, and a retirement plan.
