Job role: Senior Project Manager - Onsite
Location: Troy, MI
Duration: 6 months
Description:
A Senior Project Manager, often referred to as a Project Director, is responsible for the comprehensive planning and implementation of projects. This includes budgeting, hiring team members, sourcing suppliers, and planning the project release.
Responsibilities:
- Program and Portfolio Management: Overseeing multiple projects to ensure they align with strategic business objectives.
- Goal Setting and Project Planning: Working with stakeholders to set SMART goals, estimate budgets, set project scopes, and create detailed project plans.
- Team Leadership: Providing feedback, advice, and updates to team members, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Vendor Coordination: Managing relationships with vendors and suppliers as needed.
- Mentoring and Coaching: Supporting and guiding project managers and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in project management, business management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 7 years of project management experience, with 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software.
