Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote their development and learning.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, catering to any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, and diaper changes for infants and toddlers.
- Create a safe and stimulating environment by maintaining cleanliness and organization in play areas.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to children, helping them navigate their feelings and social interactions.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
- Implement educational activities that align with developmental milestones for preschool-aged children.
- Be attentive to the needs of children, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support.
- Provide transportation to and from school and other activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or caregiving roles, particularly with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children.
- Strong cooking skills to prepare healthy meals for children.
- Ability to work effectively with children.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with both children and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanor when dealing with children's emotions and behaviors.
- Flexibility in adapting activities based on children's interests and energy levels.
- Strong organizational skills to manage daily schedules effectively.
- Familiarity with Atlanta, its traffic and the children activities in the area.
