Family Home Assistant Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Daycare Helper at Cozy Bears Early Learning. In this role, you will assist in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys being part of a team that prioritizes the well-being and development of every child.

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers with daily activities, including playtime, learning activities, meals, and naps.
• Supervise and engage with children to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Help maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys, furniture, and play areas.
• Support children with individual needs, such as assisting with transitions or offering extra attention when needed.
• Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and families.
• Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding daily updates or concerns.
• Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
• Support lesson planning and education

Health & Safety Requirements

The following requirements will need to be obtained:

• TB Test
• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Food Handler’s Permit
• Safe Sleep Training
• Bloodborne Pathogens Initial Training
• Child Care Basics Training

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational or daycare settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of classroom management techniques.
• Ability to educate and engage students effectively, fostering a love for learning.
• Experience in lesson planning that caters to diverse learning styles.
• Knowledge of toddler care practices is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
