Cozy Harbor seafood, a leader in the seafood processing industry, is currently seeking a highly motivated and team player, for its locally based high-end food manufacturing company in the Portland Maine. Steady hours with plenty of opportunity for overtime is available. This warehouse position is a 5-6 day work week at 8-12 hours per day or as needed based on business needs. The opportunity to make good decent wages exist for a person who is energetic, enthusiastic and wants the opportunity to stay extremely busy supporting a world class seafood processing business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Candidates must be willing to work in fast paced warehouse environment with the ability to understand shipping and receiving function, order handling and material handling. Candidates must be able to handle perishable fresh and frozen seafood products packed in totes, crates and boxes that range form 12 lbs to 50 lbs. This person must have attention to detail, clear writing skill, basic high school math, English speaking is preferred but we welcome all language abilities as long as English is spoken and understood. Reliability and willingness to work a flexible schedule and help out where needed in plant operation. Must be comfortable working in a food processing environment where condition maybe wet and cold. Warehouse associates are expected to work on their feet and be prepared to be move quickly throughout the operation, supporting and working closely with the team to achieve goals and efficiently meet business and customer needs!
Job Requirements
* Minimum: High School diploma or GED
* 1 years of general warehouse experience preferably but will train
* Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift.
* Demonstrated attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.25 - $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
