What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Supervisor position at CP Energy?
As part of the crude oil transportation operations team, this position is responsible for giving on-going analysis to continuously improve operations and provide direct supervision to professional drivers in support of the company’s crude oil hauling operations.
Primary responsibilities include:**
- Provides remote and direct management to drivers and mechanics.
- Manage training, coaching, performance evaluation; and effective resolution of safety issues and claims.
- Ensure maximum productivity and route management systems and establish productivity goals where needed; ensure adherence to operating standards; and manage labor hours and hauling expenses.
- Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees;
- Lead operations to ensure compliance with all standards are met including environmental, operating, regulatory, and safety.
- Develop a best-in-class team and workplace culture and effectively manage performance and talent development.
Preferred Candidate Requirements include:**
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of Crude Oil experience is preferred
- 1-2 years of Supervisory or management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and able to direct a large staff.
- Process and results oriented in setting and pursuing goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational success
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
