Position is responsible for maintaining and repairing of facilities and equipment within the company and ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing PM requirements on motors, pneumatic systems, and production-related equipment. The shift will be 7PM to 7AM. (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday)
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Machine repair and preventative maintenance
- Installation assistance on capital projects
- Modification and installation of equipment or process improvements
- Installation and startup of minor equipment
- Facilities maintenance; e.g., building modifications, HVAC, ventilation
- Ability to trouble shoot and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels
- Must be able to work independently and adhere to established safety standards.
- Complete work order entry and close-out in the Maintenance work order system.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent or higher required
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting required, and familiar with at least two or more of the following: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and HVAC.
- Knowledge and experience troubleshooting and evaluating PLC’s and drives is a must
- Have tools/ well-stocked tool box
- Experience in industrial electrical panels, electrical machinery, and motor controls
- Welding and/or machining background a big
- Read/analyze/interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and service manuals to perform required maintenance and service
- Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and proactively take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures, or equipment downtime.
- Excellent oral and computer communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to define and solve problems
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands:
The following are required to perform the duties of this position:
- Lifting of up to 80 lbs.
- Required to work at heights using ladders or lifts, or in confined spaces for short periods of time during equipment inspections and modifications.
- Use of hand tools to repair machinery; grasping
- Ability see and read effectively to interpret work instructions, work orders, read tape measure (standard and metric) and read other operational materials.
