JOB SUMMARY
Sell and service the company’s products to existing accounts and prospective accounts in assigned areas of responsibility and markets. This is accomplished by performing the following duties individually and through the assistance and coordination of other employees/departments in the C-P organization. This position is remote
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Primary responsibility is increase sales in assigned areas and markets.
- Accounts may be from various markets with a percentage of a Sales Representative’s time assigned to specific markets at the beginning of each year.
- Sales Representatives may have a dual reporting responsibility.
- Direct responsibility and accountability will be to the Market Director for accounts in their market; Market Directors will communicate with the VP of Sales regarding account status.
- Responsible for building and maintaining sales, where applicable, at existing accounts.
- Responsible for ensuring customers abide by terms and conditions of our agreements, including payment terms and inventory policies.
- Service the needs of existing accounts by performing the following duties:
- Make sales calls on a regular cycle, as well as, when needed in emergency.
- Co-ordinate the introduction of new items, including artwork, specifications, and film testing, where applicable.
- Monitor, and control inventory along with order placement process.
- Manage customer relationship at various levels of the customer organization.
- Understand the customer’s business needs, keeping them aware of new products or services.
- Co-ordinate and where appropriate, initiate the development of new products to meet the customers needs.
- Many of these duties will be performed in conjunction with Customer Service Department.
- Prepare annual sales forecast
- Implement sales and marketing plans.
- Develop and implement target account plan in conjunction with the VP of Sales for each of their accounts.
- Responsible for the development of new accounts.
- Qualify potential customers. Includes cold-calling, in person, telephone, e-mail.
- Prospect for new potential accounts.
- Prepare sales presentations for customers.
- Prepare territory/assignment updates for Sales Meetings.
- Design and implement a sales call cycle.
- Entertain customers, where applicable, including meals and activities such as golf or industry events.
- Attend and participate in training sessions.
- When requested, attend and work in booth at trade shows and conventions.
- Responsible for ensuring that the organization is kept informed of customer and market conditions. This information can be communication in Call Reports, e-mails, phone calls, faxes, or in person.
- Must comply with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.
- SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
- Employee Health and Safety
- AIB and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
- SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP’s.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or two plus year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze, and interpret technical journals, technical data sheets, and market journals.
- Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from customers in both oral and written form.
- Must possess skills necessary to question, discuss, listen and present the companies products to current and potential customers.
- Ability to apply mathematical calculations, for pricing, sampling, and analytical purposes.
- Reasoning abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficient computer skills, with particular knowledge in using Microsoft computer software for customer correspondence, and sales analysis as well as for internal communications.
Physical Demands:
- Should be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Must be able to spend extended periods of time 2-8hrs on your feet when working at trade shows or performing customer trials.
- Driving, often times for extended periods.
- Able to travel on commercial airlines.
Work Environment:
- Weekly scheduled travel with flexibility to travel on short notice.
- Overnight travel is required.
- Travel will be done by car, air, and/or train.
- Sales are in a business to business setting, which will require time spent in a manufacturing environment.
- Office duties and responsibilities will be performed predominantly from a home office.
