Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at CP Unlimited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the upkeep of the building and grounds, including minor repairs, installation of fixtures, window replacement, and other tasks.
- Respond promptly to emergencies under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Report status of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor and order supplies as approved.
- Perform basic home repairs, including painting, caulking, minor wall/door repair, electrical work, plumbing, and wallpapering.
- Buff and wax floors as needed in assigned facilities.
- Carry out additional maintenance-related duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Meet deadlines and complete assignments efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform regular and special building maintenance jobs.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as assigned.
- Able to travel throughout the Hudson Valley as needed.
- Ability to make minor repairs.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Preferred: basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills; two years working in maintenance.
- Ability to work safely and recognize potential hazards.
- Physical ability to lift 25-50 pounds and perform frequent pushing, pulling, bending, and squatting.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling, bending/squatting, reaching, grasping/squeezing, twisting, and climbing.
- The position requires continuous activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the shift.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for gripping and manipulating objects.
