Job description
The Patient Care Coordinator will work with clinical and administrative employees to process medical equipment orders. The candidate will work with medical and financial information and must display a high degree of honesty and dependability. The position requires a resourceful individual with excellent customer service skills, office environment proficiency and teamwork abilities to get the job done. Experience in the medical field is a plus.
Qualifications:
Detail oriented, quick learner, excellent customer care aptitude with professional conduct. We are looking for a personable coordinator with strong communication and organizational skills. Minimum qualifications include one year of full-time office work experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office applications. Bi-lingual is a plus.
Responsibilities:
-Monitor incoming faxes and emails
-Data entry
-Evaluate clinical documentation to comply with insurance guidelines
-Communicate with Doctors offices and other medical personnel
-Follow up on documentation requests
-Contact patients to coordinate appointments for medical therapy devices
-Manage calendar for delivery technicians and in-house Respiratory Therapists
-Quote insurance deductibles and copays
-Answer patient calls and emails
-Assist administrative and clinical staff with insurance guideline inquiries
-Other office duties as assigned
