What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Estimator position at CPI Aerostructures Inc.?
Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of Proposal Management, the Estimator’s role is to prepare accurate estimates of fabrication/assembly hours, material costs, purchased parts costs, final assembly tooling, and special processes for all items to be delivered per the customer’s Request for Quotation.
Essential Functions:
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and ability to interpret engineering
- Based on customer provided data (models, drawings, PowerPoints) develop an understanding of the manufacturing methods and material required to produce the product.
- Develop a detailed Bill of Material
- Estimate assembly hours and detail part costs using the CPI Proprietary “Estimating Spreadsheets”
- Refine assumptions on estimates as required
- Develop assembly flow plans and basic tooling blockouts
- Liaise with Manufacturing on assembly and tooling concepts
- Ability to develop detailed manufacturing methods
- Other duties and assignments as requested for the overall performance of the company.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $67,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
