Job Description
Responsible for planning, scheduling, releasing and tracking of the workflow from engineering through manufacturing and shipping. This individual will work as a prime interface with our Program Managers, Procurement, Engineering and Quality departments to maintain the flow of material through the system. In addition, expedite parts and services in conjunction with the Program Buyer. Planner will also perform the following tasks: Maintain the schedule for each contract in MRP (Infor XA); create, track, and report on their assigned contract(s); flow down all engineering changes to appropriate departments and is responsible to maintain and analyze standard verses budgeted manpower hours; achieve positive results while adhering to CPI values and processes.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate with Program manager and production to sequence manufacturing, assembly, and finalization
Participate in all IPT and daily stand up meetings
Maintain lead-times and due dates on all assemblies as needed during the build process
Plan production tasks and schedules to ensure customer orders meet on time delivery
Flow down all engineering changes
Create and maintain line of balance (LOB) for all production programs
Coordinate with all departments and Program manager as needed to identify and resolve issues regarding delivery and budget
Manage work order demands through MRP
Ensure PVD (primary visual board) is maintained and monitored on a daily basis
Perform capacity planning analysis
Assist with new program introduction phase
Qualifications
3 years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience
Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience in MRP/ERP system is required
