JOB SUMMARY

The Aerospace Account Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients within the aerospace industry, ensuring the timely delivery of products and services, and driving business growth within existing accounts. This individual will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure that client needs are met while maintaining company objectives. The Aerospace Account Manager will act as the main point of contact between the company and clients, overseeing contracts, negotiations, and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key aerospace clients
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all client communication, ensuring clear and efficient communication at all stages of the project lifecycle
    • Understand client needs and provide solutions that meet or exceed expectations
  • Project and Account Management:
    • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.) to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
    • Oversee the execution of contracts, including project delivery, change orders, and issue resolution
    • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, tracking, and reporting of project progress to clients
  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, including cross-selling and upselling services and products
    • Prepare and present proposals, pricing models, and contract negotiations to clients
    • Drive client engagement, working with the sales team to develop new business leads and closing sales opportunities
  • Financial and Contract Management:
    • Manage budgets and forecasts for client accounts, ensuring that financial goals are met
    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
    • Track key metrics and provide regular updates to senior management
    • Annual Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
  • Customer Satisfaction and Support:
    • Address and resolve client concerns or complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
    • Coordinate product and service delivery to ensure that all requirements are met
    • Conduct regular meetings with clients to review program status, provide updates, and resolve any issues or changes in scope
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present regular account performance reports, status updates, and forecasts to senior management and clients
    • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, project developments, and account performance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in account management, sales, or project management within the aerospace industry
  • Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts, especially in the aerospace or defense sector
  • Strong understanding of aerospace products, technologies, and industry regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA, ISO 9001)
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, as well as ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and deliver presentations to clients and senior leadership. Strong negotiation and sales skills, with the ability to close deals and manage client expectations. Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite
  • Additional Skills/Competencies:
    Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and supply chain processes
    Familiarity with contract negotiation and compliance in the aerospace industry
    Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
    Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
