Your Day To Day
The Marketing Manager is responsible for strategically strengthening the company brand and product placement in the marketplace. This person will play a critical role in developing and driving the company’s marketing campaigns and messaging to support both the company and its divisions by planning and executing trade shows and providing content for external collateral, such as on the external web site, on social media and in advertising. This position will collaborate closely with Corporate and divisional staff to plan and implement critical marketing projects that support the top and bottom-line growth of the organization. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in corporate marketing and communications within the defense, satellite communications or technology sectors, with a proven ability to maintain a strong brand presence and create impactful marketing materials and content in a regulated, global industry.

You Will Be Accountable For
- Work closely with sales, business development and executive leadership to develop and execute comprehensive strategic marketing communications plans and strategies designed to support the objectives of the organization and drive new business. This will include integrated marketing and communication plans to support the launch of new products. Create roadmaps and metrics to drive and measure success.
- Plan and coordinate trade show activities and vendors, including content development, booth creation, giveaways, participant logistics and more. Work closely with multiple divisions to ensure successfully planned and executed trade shows and events that maximize customer engagement and drive business development opportunities.
- Develop and maintain external online content and messaging. This will include web site and social media content, direct customer emails and newsletters and data sheets and brochures, and will require close cross functional coordination with the goal of increasing customer awareness and engagement.
- Develop creative media and marketing tools such as product datasheets, capabilities videos, 3D product models, whitepapers and customer briefings to support sales and business objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive advertising plans and manage advertising budgets. These plans need to be focused on ROI for the organization.
- Promote brand consistency, conveying the company’s leadership and expertise, across all marketing materials, content and messaging.
- Develop and support media relations activities for divisions that further position the company as a trusted leader in the defense and communications technology industry, including external news releases, product announcements, trade publication requests and media interviews. Coordinate public release approvals with Corporate.
- Conducts market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors and opportunities.
- Proven experience in marketing, communications or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, sales and customer service skills.
- Experience with content creation and brand management. Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms used for content creation and distribution.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced, dynamic environment and to learn and adapt as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (desired).
- Travel required (~10%-40%) to support tradeshows and other events.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Salary : $75,000 - $110,000
