Maintenance Millwright
CPI Whitehall (Commonwealth Plywood) is currently seeking Maintenance Millwrights for our plywood plant located in Whitehall, New York. Full time positions for first, second, and third shift are available. Pay range of $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits to include paid time off, medical, vision, dental, and life insurance. CPI Whitehall will also pay for ongoing educations to further your maintenance skills.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of all equipment.
- Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust equipment for efficient and safe operation.
- Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair on production machines.
- Coordinate and install new equipment as necessary and work with other technical support to ensure proper procedures/operation.
- Read and interpret work orders to perform required maintenance and service and complete the necessary reports upon work completion.
- Comply with OSHA Safety rules as well as CPI Whitehall’s safety procedures, including responsibility of hazardous waste records and disposal.
- Maintain spare parts and maintenance supplies, including ordering and receiving from vendors
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Able to work weekends.
- Various other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience as a maintenance mechanic required.
- Technical training in mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatic powered equipment.
- Experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment that requires fulfillment of daily commitments
- Effectively gather and analyze information to allow for timely/efficient decision making
- Ability to take a proactive approach to people, production, and business needs.
- Ability to life up to 70lbs without assistance required.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crawl, and work in all weather conditions and environments.
- Familiar with steam boilers desirable.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
