No Evenings, Weekends, Holidays, or On-call! We are seeking a compassionate and experienced per diem Registered Nurse (RN) for Pre-Op, Circulator and PACU care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Austin, TX. Our nurses play a critical role in taking care of our patients from pre-operative, intraoperative and post-anesthesia care.

Responsibilities
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and support the patients’ right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Confirm that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice.
- Perform thorough pre-operative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting.
- Perform safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the immediate post-operative/post-anesthesia period.
- Perform thorough post-operative patient assessment prior to discharge of the patient.
- Perform discharge education to patient and care giver.
- Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
- Documenting all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical records system.
- Assists in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the postoperative area.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

Requirements:- 2 to 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing, including preoperative, circulator and PACU preferred but will train.
- Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Texas.
- Detailed oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Valid ACLS or Obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia, and perioperative nursing protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their
families.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other medical software.
