CIVIL ENGINEERING CO-OP / INTERNSHIP FALL 2025
CPL Architecture, Engineering, and Planning is seeking Civil Engineering Co-op candidates for 2025. Are you a student looking for flexibility and career learning opportunity?

Internship Environment : On-site
This internship is a full-time, paid opportunity.
The Civil Intern role gains critical insight and experience by working with talented A / E / C experts to devise, implement and measure innovative design strategies, gradually developing the technical skills and professional behaviors necessary to become a polished civil engineer.

THE CIVIL ENGINEERING CO-OP AT CPL
Under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Engineering Project Manager, the Civil Intern performs work for a myriad of projects ranging in size, scope and practice area. Your primary responsibilities include preparing drawings, rendering 3D models, assisting in survey map and layout development and participating in client vision sessions. You’re exposed to active learning assignments on a daily basis, working alongside the industry’s best and brightest to create purposeful designs that enrich lives.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
You’re actively pursuing a BS (or MS) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Succinct communication and presentation skills
You have technical experience in AutoCAD / Civil 3D and. / or Microstation / InRoads programs
You have ability to produce and / or interpret detailed hand sketches and can effectively delineate conceptual ideas to internal teams and clients alike.
CORE DUTIES
Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of civil engineering, requiring knowledge and application of principles learned in course of study.
Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
Provide support to staff members as needed.
