BUILDING SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER I - HEALTHCARE
The Building Systems Engineering Project Manager I coordinates and manages the work of other professionals, providing practical, inspired designs for building system projects ranging wide in scope. Reporting to a designated Senior Project Manager or Principal, you work independently and oversee the work of others. You nurture strong working relationships with clients and provide oversight throughout all project phases. You serve as a mentor, teacher, and advisor, guiding junior team members. What You Bring To The Table
- BS (and/or MS) in related field or equivalent experience and skills
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of engineering experience
- Professional licensure preferred
- Previous expereince working in the Healthcare market
- A deep understanding of the foundational principles of building systems engineering
- Ability to foster a creative engineering environment
- Strong communication skills, (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the building systems engineering discipline
- Proficient in use of AutoCAD, Revit, and other specialty-critical software, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional degree in a related field or a combination of skills and experience
- Strong ability to prioritize and juggle critical tasks, seeing them through to completion while maintaining high design standards and adhering to established project timelines
- Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending beneficial changes
- Coordinate as necessary across a variety of building design disciplines, including architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural.
- Project related duties include management of both personnel and process
- Develop project scopes and objectives and coordinate all project efforts – both administrative and technical – to ensure the most gainful and cost-effective outcome of assigned tasks
- Establish short and long-term goals and create appropriate timelines for their completion, subsequently assigning specialized teams to accommodate related needs
- Schedule, lead and attend client vision sessions
- Assist with project proposals, assisting in marketing efforts to grow CPL’s business
- Manage project finances, including billing, invoice generation and asset/resource allocation
- Perform quality assurance/control on others’ work, verifying methodologies, calculations, outcomes, etc.
- Supervisory requirements including recruitment, retention and development of talent including:
- Managing team member allocation and assessing the strengths of the project team to organize and regulate workload assignments
- Supervise, coordinate and review work, schedules and assigns work to meet completion dates
- Engage and foster the growth of CPL team members. Provide encouragement and regular feedback; and serve as a mentor/example for all levels of the team.

Salary : $115,000 - $173,000
