SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER/HEALTHCARE
The Sr. Interior Designer is a senior role and will analyze, plan, design, document and manage interior related projects with a thorough understanding building design, fire, life-safety, and energy codes, standards, and guidelines. As Interior Designer on a multitude of projects, project types, teams, and working with multiple project managers, the designer needs to be able to be flexible, organized, and efficient.
The Sr. Interior Designer works on a multitude of project types and alongside a variety of teams project managers. He/she must have a deep understanding of building design, fire and life-safety, energy codes, standards and guidelines.
The Sr. Interior Designer may serve as the point of contact for the client while maintaining relationships, deadlines, schedules, and coordination with the team. The designer should be proficient at Revit, rendering, and presentations working with the Owner and Project Manager to provide a high-level design on every project. In this position, you will contribute to complex projects that are moderate to large in size.
Additionally, coordination of schedules and project requirements is essential in this position. A Sr. Interior Designer is a team leader and as such, will manage and assist with mentorship and training with less experienced designers.

What You Bring To The Table
- You earned a BS in I nterior D esign – or a related field – from an accredited institution
- You have at least nine(9) years of industry experience
- You have previous experience working in the healthcare market
- NCIDQ certification required .
- Additional applicable certifications and degrees are a major plus
- Ability to prioritize critical tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
- Positive attitude and highly accountable.
- If applicable, Certified Interior Designer.
- Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) required .
- Knowledgeable in proposals per Interior Design approach and participate in interviews, proposals, and marketing.
- Increase knowledge and practice of sustainability.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficient in writing and reviewing specifications.
- Ability to build new and maintain existing client relationship
- Ability to lead a high performing team and work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to collaborate on innovative solutions and facilitate a team environment.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality.
- Ability and willingness to participate in internal culture and business development which may occur evenings or on weekends.
- Understand and implement public health and safety codes including accessibility and environmental guidelines.
- Develop program and space planning during Schematic Design and Design Development.
- Participate in field measurements, verifications, and scanning technology of existing conditions.
- Lead and participate in client meetings and act as primary client contact.
- Manage and model 3D, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, detailing, schedules, and finish documents. Additional drafting will be required as the project, and team require .
- Select finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment per project requirements.
- Develop presentations (virtual and physical) including, but not limited to, renderings and video walkthroughs.
- Consult with manufacturer's sales representatives and technicians.
- Build and strengthen connections through a comprehensive understanding of the project missions, goals, and policies.
- Manage the project and client needs through analysis, evaluation, and development of the program, objectives , and project requirements, including post-occupancy evaluation and sharing lessons learned.
- Collaborate on the design process including kickoff and programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, construction administration and furnishings selections and purchases.
- Lead consultants and technical team efforts to facilitate effective execution of project design and the delivery of implementation documents.
- Coordinate project team interaction both internally and all other project participants.
- Oversees application of products and materials appropriate for the project.
- Utilize creative thinking to achieve innovative solutions.
- Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, Subconsultants, and Contractors.
- Supervisory requirements, including recruitment and retention of talent including:
