What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler - 3rd shift position at CPM Crown?
This is a 3rd shift position .
Makes custom wooden boxes and skids for the shipment of fabricated and machined metal parts and complete machines. Picks and packs parts from warehouse to support shipment of spare parts and support assembly operations as required.
Responsibilities:
- Make custom wooden boxes and skids using up cut and table saws and pneumatic nail and staple guns.
- Safe operation of fork trucks (stand up and sit-down type).
- Safe loading and unloading of trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Safe and accurate receiving, stocking, and pulling of materials in warehouse.
- Accurate computer transactions in an ERP system (SAP/B1).
- Comply with CPM safety policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years work experience in an industrial environment.
- Fork truck experience. Crane experience a plus.
- Good communication skills.
- Computer skills, ERP (SAP/B1), Excel, Word, etc.
- Familiarity with international shipping.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they apply to an industrial facility.
- Possess a sense of urgency and maturity to get the job done.
