JOB DESCRIPTION :
Reporting to the Director of Innovation for CPM’s Industrial Solutions US Business Unit, located in Waterloo, IA. The Electrical Engineer will be part of the innovation team that focus on researching and developing new products for our existing international markets animal feed, oilseed processing, green energy, and new target markets. This key position will have freedom to influence the designing, building and testing of complex prototype electro mechanical systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Component selection and integration : evaluate different sensors, actuators, motors and control devices integrating components into a cohesive system ensuring compatibility and functionality
- System design and development : analyze electrical requirements, develop conceptual designs and create detailed plans for a system that meets performance, reliability and safety requirements.
- Conduct testing and validation : develop experiments, conduct tests, and analyze data to evaluate system performance
- Continuous learning : stay up to date with advancements in electrical engineering and related technologies
- Participate in training and professional development
- Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve electrical system issues through testing, inspection, and diagnostic techniques
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
