What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Assembly Technician position at CPM Holdings, Inc.?
This position is responsible for but not limited to machine assembly from the ground up of CPM equipment and working closely with the Engineering group and Product Managers.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
- Experience with heavy mechanical process equipment, hand tools, power tools, cranes
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and mechanical blueprints
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Experience operating overhead cranes
- Forklift experience
- Attentive to detail
- Safe operation of fork trucks while loading and unloading
- Skidding of machinery
- Comply with CPM safety policy
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of work experience in an industrial environment
- Fork truck experience
- Crane experience a plus
- Good communication skills
- Good math skills and the ability to convert from English to Metric units
- Ability to weld (MIG & TIG) a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they apply to an industrial facility
- Possess a sense of urgency and maturity to get the job done
