What will you do?
- Use appropriate gauges to determine whether the casting is acceptable, rejectable, or in need of repair.
- Record gauge readings to be placed on file, and/or apply assigned inspection identification to the casting.
- Repair the casting either by stoning, belting, pressing, bending, or twisting as appropriate to ensure and then re check usage appropriate measuring device.
- Perform dimensional ship audits and production inspections
- Responsible for programming, loading and unloading fixtures and parts from CMM.
- Ensure that the probes are calibrated, and fixtures are clean and in proper place.
- Performs leveling of the parts, running the programs, examining the readings and identifying the anomalous points.
- Generates and reviews inspection documents and report for compliance
- Maintains CMM using PC-Dimis software for the inspection and qualification of product
- Interact with Team Leaders, Engineers, and Manufacturing Managers regarding measurement inspection matters.
- Comply with and support AS9100 and Nadcap certification standards as well as customer specific standards
- Serve as active participant in Continuous Improvement activities
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to and enforce proper safety/security procedures and protocol.

What can you bring to the table?
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required
- 3-5 year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- GD&T Certification a plus
- Knowledge of AS 9100 and AS9102
- Knowledge of Creoform, Poly Works and PC-DMIS software
- Knowledge of CMM operation
- Ability to use hand tools, operate, calibrate and troubleshoot programs for the CMM
- Ability to calibrate tooling per drawing or customer's requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, PEI’s and Work Instructions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence/email.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to use a calculator.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
