Job Description
The Automation Engineer at CPP-Eastlake designs, programs, maintains, and troubleshoots PLC control systems in an aerospace investment casting manufacturing environment. A strong background in ladder logic programming and experience with robotics and ignition programming are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation systems to improve efficiency and consistency in the investment casting process.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement upgrades and process enhancements.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors, actuators, and other automated machinery.
- Implement improvements to automation systems to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize production processes.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in automation engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is necessary. Three years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in investment casting or a similar manufacturing environment, is also required.
