Job Summary :

As a Supplier Relations and Production Specialist, you'll manage inventory and place purchase orders with approved vendors for critical raw materials and services essential for our operations.

Primary Responsibilities :

Oversee the procurement process from requisition to receiving goods and services.

Manage inventory of raw materials, including conducting cycle counts.

Evaluate and monitor supplier performance through monthly assessments.

Collaborate with production planning and management to ensure materials are available for production.

Review and authorize purchase order payments.

Work with quality control to address and resolve any defects from suppliers.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to guarantee timely deliveries.

Expedite orders as needed for production schedules.

Organize and manage inventory effectively.

Process requisitions to ensure accuracy and specifications before placing orders.

Maintain detailed records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, and inventory.

Communicate with vendors to gather information about products, pricing, and capacity.

Perform additional duties as required for the position.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience : A minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, multitasking capabilities, and time management. Proficiency in MS Office and Oracle, along with excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation abilities and sound judgment are essential. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Working Environment :

Cubicle / office setting with regular trips to the shop floor.

Travel requirements of up to 10%.

Required personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed in different areas.

Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are necessary in all plant areas.
