Job Summary
Our company is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development of robust manufacturing processes and quality systems. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, and develop solutions to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and advancing CPP quality systems, procedures, and practices. You will review contracts for adherence with CPP standards and practices, interact with CPP NDT level III personnel to ensure product compliance, and oversee conformance and quality enforcement of casting manufacturing process. You will also routinely audit production lots for adherence to established techniques and to ensure the repeatability of the results, manage resolution of non-conforming material/processes, communicate with customers to resolve/address quality system concerns/inquires, participate during customer/external audits, drive closure of preventative/corrective actions, customer returns/inquires, and actively participate in Continuous improvement of process/product such that castings meet or exceed customer expectations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a BS in Engineering Discipline or 3-5 years of applicable experience. You should have quality systems experience, and/or formal training in Quality tools. Certifications/Licenses such as CQA or CQ Engineer are preferred. You will also need basic engineering skills, knowledge and application of statistics, knowledge of computer applications, and knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs.
