At Consolidated Precision Products , we are looking for a Metallurgy Engineering Intern to join our team this summer. This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn about the metallurgy of cast superalloys, the investment casting process, and the quality requirements essential for aerospace applications.
What You Will Do :
- Collaborate with Industry Experts : Work alongside metallurgists, engineers, and lab technicians to improve our processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support Process Improvement : Assist in reviewing metallurgical, process, and dimensional trials, contributing to continuous improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Data Analysis & Reporting : Analyze test results, summarize data, and help prepare technical reports to present findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Hands-On Learning : Work with shop floor personnel to improve routings, instructions, and overall process performance based on their feedback.
- Problem Solving : Utilize A3 problem-solving and PDCA methodologies to address challenges and identify process improvements.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all findings, trial results, and process changes.
