Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Chittenango, NY. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with customers' engineering, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure compliance with their quality expectations. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support and direction to ensure customer quality requirements are met
- BUILDING TRUST with customers through supplier product surveys and continuous improvement efforts
- Staying up-to-date with technological advances and innovative analytical systems to reduce waste and inefficiencies
- Forecasting potential problems and suggesting solutions through risk assessment
- Reviewing and evaluating customer purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and related criteria
- Aiding in the development and implementation of corrective action/preventative action plans
- Serving as primary QA contact for customers
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; or one to two years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality and quality systems, such as AS9100, NADCAP, ISO17025, and A2LA
- 3-5 years of work experience in an Aerospace environment, foundry, or related field
- Familiarity with the investment casting industry and related processes is desirable
- Strong communication and PC skills, program management skills
