SUMMARY:

The Field Engineer is an entry level position for employees who demonstrate interest in professional growth as a Superintendent.  A Field Engineer is detail oriented, tech savvy and dynamic.  The Field Engineer will be onsite everyday managing active commercial construction projects in collaboration with Project Managers.  They are responsible for assisting the supervision staff to oversee commercial construction projects in all field related activity such as jobsite safety, cost, quality, and schedule with a focus on delivering high quality projects and great service to our clients. They also work closely with management staff regarding all aspects of the project with specific and focused job duties. Maintain relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission and core values.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or experience in related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of all applicable CPPI processes and procedures.
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and knowledge of construction management processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours. Work hours will be consistent with a Field Engineer in the Construction industry.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage construction site daily, including keeping it clean, on schedule and per plans.
  • Coordinate and maintain schedule while managing subcontractors and suppliers in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with external (clients) and internal (leadership team) stakeholders on project status, including preparing and circulating meeting notes, Requests-for-Information (RFI’s), submittals and change orders.
  • Partner with the Project Manager during the construction phase of the project to budget, manage and forecast craft labor, equipment, materials, small tools, consumables and general conditions.
  • Plans ahead to prevent problems and resolve any arising issues during the workflow.
  • Assists in overseeing all onsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Orders and tracks tools, materials and equipment as needed to deliver the project.
  • Obtains permits and licenses as necessary to complete the project.
  • Analyzes, manages and mitigates risks.
  • Meets contractual conditions of performance, including maintaining standards and proper construction techniques.
  • Participates in ongoing education, training opportunities and Company events representing CPPI professionally.
  • Assists in monitoring the site logistics and management plan.
  • Assists coordinating daily work activity.
  • Assists in monitoring the construction schedule.
  • Assists with project safety.
  • Assists with jobsite quality control.
  • Assists in maintaining complete and organized records at the site.
  • Assists with tool inventory and reporting.
  • Assists with punch list creation.
  • Assists with all OSHA jobsite requirements.
  • Understands and utilizes the Company Policy and Procedures Manual and Best Practices Guidelines including Master Forms Library.
  • Ensures workplace safety. Reports issues to project team immediately.
  • Performs other functions as requested of them.
  • Ensures client needs are exceeded throughout the course of delivery.
