Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students in their field of expertise while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. This role involves mentoring students, developing curriculum, and utilizing various learning technologies to enhance the educational experience. The Instructor will play a vital role in shaping the future of our students through effective teaching and research.

Duties

• Design and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives and educational standards.
• Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Mentor students by providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback on their academic progress.
• Conduct research in relevant fields to stay current with advancements and integrate findings into course content.
• Utilize Blackboard and other learning technologies to facilitate online and in-person instruction.
• Collaborate with faculty members to develop curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners.
• Assess student performance through various evaluation methods, including exams, projects, and presentations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and community outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited university is preferred.
• Proven experience in higher education teaching with a strong understanding of curriculum development.
• Familiarity with instructional design principles and lesson planning techniques.
• Proficiency in using learning technologies, particularly Blackboard or similar platforms.
• Strong mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and research within the field.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
