About the role

The Financial Software Auditor will assist in planning and executing software audits to ensure compliance with internal controls, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves evaluating software development processes, identifying risks, and providing actionable recommendations for improvement. The Financial Software Auditor will collaborate with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and ensure software integrity.

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of software usage processes.
  • Evaluate software applications and processes for financial risks.
  • Required to review contracts, understand software contracts, and how contracts relate to network infrastructure and software licensing.
  • Identify and document software vulnerabilities, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement audit plans and audit programs.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Collaborate with software development and IT teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on the latest software development methodologies, tools, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for software usage and security.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as directed by management.
  • Maintain professional development through active participation in the performance management process and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

Position Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software auditing, quality assurance, internal audit, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software testing, and security practices.
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, business processes, and IIA standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in audit software and tools.
  • Preferred Experience (Years and types) :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Or minimum of 2 years experience in related position
  • Emerging comprehension of line-of-business strategy, products, operations, and potential risk areas.
  • Experience in identifying and escalating issues proactively to supervisors.
  • Knowledge of Accounting / Financial Risk, Insurance Risk, Market & Credit Risk, IT Risk, and Compliance Risk.
  • Demonstrates time management and the ability to balance multiple tasks effectively.
  • Financial auditing or software licensing audit experience
