Position Summary
The Executive Brand & Outreach Program Manager will add value, provide strategic counsel and position CPS Energy’s Executives as thought leaders and experts in the industry by building their presence internally and externally through clear branding, creative storytelling, and authentic content development.
This role will work collaboratively with the Office of the President, the Executive Leadership Team, Chiefs of Staff, Business Management Strategists, Corporate Communications & Marketing and other departments, as needed, to manage the development, integration and implementation of a broad range of activities that will facilitate effective planning and oversight of projects for successful deployment of thought leadership initiatives company-wide.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Content Development & Branding :
Alignment with business strategic priorities and consistent corporate messaging
Storytelling (personal & professional), ghostwriting, and social media messaging
Creation, management, and review of internal & external print, digital, AV & presentations
Management of image, appearance, and professional bios
Develop tailored strategic branding plans for multiple leaders
Speaking Engagement Preparation & Administration :
Research, vet, coordinate and manage speaking engagements and publication opportunities for multiple leaders
Staff executives at events to include evenings and weekends, when necessary
Track and report on the execution of goals and objectives of executive brand & outreach
Represent leadership on preparatory calls and provide speaking recommendations for optimal event experience
Conduct thorough safety walk-thrus at all event venues and AV confirmation
Provide coaching and feedback sessions, if needed
Awards & Recognition :
Research, draft, track, and coordinate award nominations and submissions for CPS Energy as an organization, business units, the President & CEO, Executive Leadership, and other thought leaders in our organization.
Additional Responsibilities Include :
Proactive research and outreach for new stakeholder and community partners for speaking engagement opportunities
Liaison to increase community relationships and public engagement opportunities.
Provide ad hoc support to executives in completion of initiatives
Ensure timely delivery on obligations to include preparation packets pre-event, and development of internal and external follow-up communications post-event
Build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of leadership and stakeholders in collaboration with Corporate Communications & Marketing (i.e. local, state and industry agencies, publications, PR firms, media contacts, etc.)
Event planning to include event program design, speaker confirmations, logistics (facilities, catering, security, etc.), when needed
Research and monitor industry trends and best practices for executive brand and thought leadership
Consult and provide direct and indirect leadership for cross-functional teams and projects
Represent the Executive Brand department at internal and external meetings, as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Increasing responsibility experience in executive brand management, corporate affairs, client management or a related role
Broad-range hands-on experience in areas such as, client management, account services, event planning, strategic planning, resource planning, team facilitation, group problem solving or process improvement work
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other similar management tools.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Detail-oriented and proven history of “on-time” delivery of projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including executive leadership, to represent the company and executive in a professional manner.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills (i.e. personality and social skills).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, set priorities and successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously..
Acts in concert with CPS Energy core values and behavioral principles.
Must have Class C Texas Driver’s License with a favorable driving record.

- Demonstrated experience in building or enhancing the profile of senior executives through the use of multiple channels
- Significant work experience with established local or national PR firms disciplined
- Master’s Degree in related field

Working Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Ability to travel to and from events, meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. After-hours and weekend work and travel may be required.
Physical Demands
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force infrequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Light duty work. May work in different environments such as wet, humid, hazardous, and noisy when attending CPS Energy Power Generation and other facilities.
