Together, we will build on our company’s long history and keep on leading the way to a better world.Discover your exciting role The Senior Legal Counsel is responsible for providing support to the General Counsel – USA on matters that affect business, including corporate risk. Provides legal advice and guidance to all levels of management and acts as a trusted business partner. Works closely with other departments to interpret, defend, and enforce handbook, agreements, etc.Explore your tasks and responsibilities Provides support to the General Counsel - USA on matters affecting business, including corporate risksDrafts, reviews, and revises legal and other documents affecting the Company’s day-to-day operations, including design, construction and EPC agreements, labor agreements, subcontract agreements, vendor agreements, jobsite work rules, and EHS processes and proceduresProvides legal advice and guidance to business line and functional management on matters affecting business; acts as trusted business partner to managementOversees the corporate books including by-laws, shareholder and buy / sell agreements, and shareholder recordsManages the resolution of claims by clients, subcontractors and other third parties working with insurers and when appropriate, outside counselProvides guidance on corporate governance, ethics, Code of Conduct, policy guidelines, leases, insurance, organizational structure, and collection mattersCounsels Senior Management regarding corporate risks, and supports the company's risk management programWorks closely with Human Resources, Compliance and other departments to interpret, defend, and enforce handbooks, agreements, etc.Reviews corporate policies and procedures, makes recommendations to management teamManages and handles domestic employment, litigation and claim mattersInvestigates, responds to and advises on NLRB, OSHA, EEOC, ERA Section 211, DOL, WARN, FLSA and other state, federal and government administrative actionsManages ERISA issues concerning multi-employer defined benefit plans and welfare benefit plansMay be involved in environmental and intellectual property matters and other types of commercial and non-commercial legal issuesAssists with the Company's mergers and acquisitionsManages assigned projects to completionOther duties as assigned.Show your expertise 7 years of experienceMust be licensed and in good standing in STATEEngineering, Construction Management, or Manufacturing preferredPrior experience working in a law firm and in-house preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWhat can you expectThe work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases when in the Manufacturing facility, although the office environment is usually quiet and respectful.
