School & College Legal Services of California (SCLS) is seeking 2 Attorneys.
Labor & Employment Attorney– This role focuses on providing legal advice and representation in employment, personnel, and labor matters for our clients, which include school districts, community colleges, and county offices of education.
The attorney in this role will counsel clients on a broad range of issues, including disability access and accommodations, employment records and privacy, discrimination and harassment claims, employee discipline, and employment-related litigation and pre-litigation disputes. This position requires a proactive, client-centered approach to legal services, with an emphasis on practical guidance and risk management strategies.
Business & Facilities Attorney– This role focuses on facilities and public contracting, including matters related to solar and clean energy projects, construction contracts, procurement, and other general business and operational issues.
The attorney in this role will play a key role in advising educational institutions on complex legal and regulatory issues, supporting them in achieving their facilities and sustainability goals, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
