As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing library operations, and providing programs and services to diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide frontline customer service, answering reference questions, readers' advisory, and technology inquiries.
- Perform circulation tasks, including checking materials in and out, shelving, shelf-reading, and updating patron accounts.
- Develop and implement programs for adults, youth, and families, including preparing materials, facilitating activities, and clean-up.
- Maintain a clean and organized library environment, ensuring that all areas are accessible and welcoming to patrons.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree or equivalent combination of experience required.
- One year of progressively responsible public service, library, or related field experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, teens, and adults.
- Familiarity with standard library operating procedures, methods, and philosophies.
- Knowledge of literature, media, and library services.
