Laborer

This position is responsible for helping the full-time staff maintain a pleasing and safe environment for the public to enjoy. Primary responsibilities include planting the seasonal flowers, lawn mowing and upkeep of the grounds. Other responsibilities include helping with special projects such as street sign maintenance, storm drainage repairs, and other maintenance activities related to District facilities and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is a dependable and hardworking individual who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining safe, attractive public spaces. This individual should be comfortable using lawn care tools, small equipment, and are eager to learn new skills to support a variety of maintenance tasks. A team player with a strong work ethic, they are self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision. They bring a positive attitude to every task whether planting flowers, repairing storm drains, or picking up debris and are committed to providing excellent service to the community. A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet physical job demands are required.

Must be at least 17 years of age and have the ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening test. Must possess a current driver license in good standing, at all times; and must be considered an acceptable driver as defined by the District’s commercial insurance carrier.
