My client, a global leading chemical manufacturing company in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Category Manager to manage the Corporate Services categories.
Category Manager, Corporate Services – Reporting to the Director of Indirect Procurement, this position will be responsible for managing a $140M spend of Corporate Services to establish short and long term strategies; cost optimization; value creation; supplier relationship development, and risk mitigation.
- Work with multiple business units to develop sourcing strategies and supplier management
- Involvement in financial planning and forecasting
- Provide market analysis and analyze data for cost savings purposes
- Drive end to end sourcing process
- Create and implement cost savings initiatives
- Vendor selection and management
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree is required and MBA is preferred
- Solid experience in a strategic sourcing position with an industrial manufacturer (prefer chemical)
- Solid experience sourcing Corporate Services for multiple plants

*This is a hybrid schedule - 2 days work from home. Candidates must live within driving distance to the facility in the Baltimore, MD area. Relocation is not offered for this position.
Base salary: $140-150K 14% -16% bonus
