Key Responsibilities:
- Drive cost-saving initiatives for assigned materials and recommend value-added alternatives.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring effective contractual agreements.
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
- Collaborate on make vs. buy decisions and cross-functional cost-reduction projects.
- Manage risk mitigation projects and oversee warranty recovery for assigned materials.
- Support engineering with purchasing aspects of product changes, including cost negotiations.
- Maintain pricing agreements, resolve invoice discrepancies, and manage price variances.
- Ensure timely material supply to production facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5 years of procurement experience.
- Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
- Automotive manufacturing or transportation experience required.
- Experience procuring metals, plastics, or automotive parts.
