What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linux Engineer position at CPS, Inc.?
We are a 20 year old financial firm with offices in downtown Chicago (blocks from Union Station) and we currently seek someone with a strong background in Linux Systems Engineering. In this role, you will join a small team of engineers that ensure our systems are operating in the best way possible...where reliability and performance are paramount. Being a small team, we value engineers who enjoy working with multiple teams (Linux Engineering, Networking, Systems Support, etc.) to achieve success.
Compensation for this role is targeted to be from 80-110K base salary plus an annual discretionary bonus.

Basic Technical Skills Needed
- 2 years in a Linux Engineering role
- Scripting (Python or Bash)
- SQL
- Basic Networking - Enough to have conversations with Network Team
- Comfortable with the demands of server builds
Salary : $150,000 - $225,000
