Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of production machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous operations efficiency.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
- Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of various power, gas, or air required for operations.
- Directs workers and contractors engaged in buildings and grounds maintenance activities
- Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with maintenance staff and works closely with cross-functional facility leadership
- Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Inspect operating machines for conformance with operational standards.
- Plans, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Conference with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
- Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
- Implement and maintain standards for breakdown elimination, planning & scheduling, lubrication, Predictive Maintenance, maintenance information systems, shop tool, facilities and inventory management.
- Partners with plant leadership and other teams to ensure equipment improvements are achieved through preventive and predictive maintenance tools and techniques, with a focus on eliminating specific losses around equipment deterioration.
- Supporting Autonomous Maintenance Standard work practices around implementation of Safety Maps, Centerlines, Defect handling, Clean/Inspect/lube tasks to support planned stops to reduce unplanned downtimes.

- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred, an equivalent level of experience can be considered.
- 7 years’ maintenance experience, in a seafood or food facility required.
- 5 years in a supervisory role in a food manufacturing plant preferred.
- General knowledge and experience working with facility and process design.
- Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations, building electrical, plumbing, civil and mechanical codes and standards.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Hands-on knowledge and ability to troubleshoot systems and controls, diagnose problems and recommend improvements.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office applications, computerized maintenance systems.
- Experience in refrigeration systems preferable.
- Experience in OSHA Regulations.
