The Senior Buyer is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing all procurement activities within designated categories for manufacturing facilities in Chicago. This role requires collaboration across various departments, suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure the seamless flow of raw materials essential for production. In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, encompassing strategy development, RFI/RFP execution, supplier negotiation and selection, and ongoing category management—all while ensuring compliance with contracts. Key responsibilities include managing inventory and financial metrics, ensuring optimal purchase price variance, and maintaining budget expectations. The Senior Buyer will cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, supporting growth initiatives and contributing to organizational leadership as a recognized category expert.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year.

Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant Procurement and Category Management experience in the food and beverage industry.
4 years procurement experience in a F&B setting
Strong Excel and analytical proficiency a must.
