Technical Service Manager

$120,000 - $170,000 in base salary annually based on experience

Global chemical industry leader is seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager for their Texas site.

• Interface directly with external customers and working as a team with sales and marketing to understand application requirements necessary for success.
• Translate customer needs into key structure/property and mechanism knowledge for improved material development.
• Use developed understanding to help design new formulations for the coatings and civil engineering market.
• Collaborate across functions/groups as needed to drive project success.
• Internal and external communication of technologies and project results.
• Secure intellectual property on key technologies and compositions.
• Work externally to advance company's reputation as a leading science and technology company in the epoxy coating and civil engineering industries.

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science/Engineering, Material Science, or related fields. Master's Degree or PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related industrial work experience; Experience in R&D, application development, product implementation and customer product testing preferred.
• Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel 30% of the time. Must possess a valid US driver's license.
