Position Summary:
The Concord Public Schools is seeking a dynamic special education preschool teacher for our integrated preschool program housed at the Ripley Building in Concord. The program is designed for students with a range of disabilities including cognitive/intellectual, neurological, physical, language, and other neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Autism. Students require intensive supports and instruction throughout their school day.
Each classroom provides an integrated setting where children with disabilities are taught alongside typically developing peers. Classes are led by special educators with tutors supporting each classroom. The program focuses on providing a structured preschool day with an emphasis on developing early learning/ pre-kindergarten skills, social and play skills and providing rich language-based opportunities and exposure throughout the school day. The preschool follows the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
