Automation Engineer – Aftermarket Drives and Controls
Award-winning company based in Pawcatuck, CT seeks an experienced Automation Engineer with expertise in PLC programming, drive systems, and HMI applications. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement PLC programs using ladder logic, function block diagrams, and flowchart-based programming
• Design and implement HMI applications and AC/DC drive systems
• Plan and optimize PLC network architecture to ensure seamless communication between devices
• Upgrade and integrate legacy drive systems to improve efficiency and productivity
• Conduct thorough software and control system testing to guarantee high-quality results
• Provide on-site commissioning support and remote customer assistance to meet customer needs
• Collaborate with Sales teams for pre-study analysis and reporting to drive business growth
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver engineering solutions that exceed expectations
Qualifications:
• Proven experience with AC/DC drive systems and industrial PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, drive configurations, and industrial control networks
• Familiarity with web handling and converting equipment is a plus but not required
