Civil Engineer
Pay Rate: $30–$40 per hour
Join a growing and dynamic civil engineering and land surveying firm near Binghamton, NY, where you will work on a wide range of projects including commercial, educational, municipal, and state or federally funded developments.
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with strong design and project management experience to contribute to impactful infrastructure and site development initiatives. This is an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support planning, design, and construction oversight for civil/site projects
- Develop site layouts, grading, stormwater management systems, erosion control plans, and utility designs
- Conduct code research, prepare reports, cost estimates, and specifications
- Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and government agencies
- Represent clients at public hearings and meetings
- Supervise and review work of junior staff, ensuring adherence to codes and safety standards
- Use MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite for plan and document development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of civil engineering design experience
- EIT certification required; PE license in NY preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in relevant software
- Valid driver’s license
