IT Support Technician
Oriskany, NY (Onsite)
Pay: $20-$25 per hour depending on experience
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to ensure smooth operations by managing hardware, software, and network systems. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing user support, and maintaining system security. This is a long-term contract assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components
- Troubleshoot and repair IT infrastructure, including laptops, printers, phones, handheld scanners, and Wi-Fi
- Provide user support and serve as the first point of contact for IT issues
- Maintain system security by installing and updating antivirus software
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, and Group Policies
- Support ERP administration and document technical processes
- Utilize a ticketing system for issue tracking and reporting KPIs
- Act as a backup to the Systems Administrator
Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft products
- Familiarity with IT support in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or two or more years of hands-on IT support experience
- Willingness to take on additional tasks or provide off-hour support as needed
