About the Role: MECO is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Pittsfield office. This role is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership position that involves managing both projects and the office. We are looking for a highly skilled and tenured civil engineer, preferably a Professional Engineer (PE), who can manage a diverse range of civil engineering projects and transition into an office management role over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee and manage various civil engineering projects, including site civil, water and wastewater, hydrology, transportation, and stormwater.
- Office Management: Lead the Pittsfield office, guiding staff and ensuring efficient operations.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on general civil engineering topics and deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring project success and customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Operational Oversight: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the office, with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong track record in project management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of civil engineering disciplines including site civil, water/wastewater, hydrology, transportation, and stormwater management.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
Pay Range is $100,000-$135,000 annual salary bonus, health benefits, PTO, and holiday pay.
