Position Overview: MECO Engineering is seeking a skilled Designer/Draftsman to join our growing team. This role will work closely under the direction of engineers, preparing multiple versions of design plans for review using drafting software. This position is ideal for someone with a background in drafting or detailing who is looking to contribute to a variety of projects with a focus on quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed design plans for review by engineers and architects, utilizing drafting software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Work from rough sketches and specifications provided by engineers and architects to create accurate design plans.
- Assist in the design of projects in collaboration with engineering and technician staff, ensuring that all plans meet project requirements and standards.
- Produce limited amounts of small design work under the supervision of engineers, supporting overall project objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of three years of experience in drafting or detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, with experience in Revit highly preferred.
- Strong ability to interpret and work from rough sketches and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams.
